It wasn't all about the beer. (Lie.)
It wasn't all about standing on street corners like an Irish hooligan.
It wasn't all about the volcano, either.
The volcano just added a little extra drama.
Which, as you can see, was sorely lacking.
Mainly, it was about pinching myself very hard at regular intervals. Testing. Making sure none of it was a dream.
It was about taking in a scenery that was just too much at times. Stop it, Ireland! I'm warning you. One more breathtaking vista...just one more...and I'm a gonna hafta spank you.
It was about potential baby sheep abduction.
And recognizing family members in the faces of others.
(I knew Tex had Irish blood in him!)

More photos to come--once I've gotten the chance to get through the 500+ images we accumulated. Don't worry, I'll only subject you to the ones where I look fantastic...all 3 of them.
Actually, there are some great shots from Dublin in the near future. Hang on to your hats, folks. There's nothing like a slide-show of other people's vacations! Am I right? Am I?

And now...for some real excitement.
My duck friends are back!! They visit me every day!! I hear them quacking on my front door step--calling to me!! I am sort of in love with them!!
And look!! My tulips and daffodils are FINALLY up!! And it's the first week of MAY!! Today's high is in the 40s!! It's making me slightly insane!!
Lastly...
Tex wants to let you know he's missed being small town Germany's most handsome Westie. He believes it's very neglectful of his owner to allow weeks to pass without photographing him in his many heroic poses.
And that is all for now.
Mwah.
Oh you look very sexy as an Irish hooligan! But as I scrolled down, my breath was completely GONE. What a scenery, the colours, the peace and quiet one can drink in from those shots. Baby sheeps, Irish Tex!
And BEER!!!
Welcome back to the quacks too ...

I tell you, between the beer and the scenery, Ireland exceeded everything wonderful in this world--even sex. Seriously.

That shot of the small ruin on the hill with rocks in the foreground and water and mountains in the far background? My new wallpaper. Thanks!

That's Temple Bar, isn't it. Sniff. I miss Temple Bar. Having spent four days there, it is burned into my very soul.

Dude, that scenery is RIDICULOUS. I refuse to believe it's real. Okay, it probably is. But damn.

Hello hooligan!
Great photos, E. Mr Duyvken is due to fly to N.Ireland next week for his brother's wedding, if all goes well with volcanoes and prevailing winds.

Those scenery photos are fake. I dare you to prove that they're not. Nothing like that actually exists on the planet. Of course, people tend to say that about the many glorious portraits of me, too, come to think of it. And you as the Lord of the Dance. Oh wait - that really was fake. Oops.
(Most enjoyable travelogue. Gimme more.)
P.S. Where's Beth?

Josh and I were mulling over the idea of a trip to Ireland for our anniversary. Plan it for me, please. I'm much to busy to do it myself.

Oh dear. My dream of dreams is take my family and inhabit Ireland as you and yours inhabit Germany. I may not have a choice now... it is gnawing at my guts.
